Looking Ahead to 2017

I know we’ve just finished and reviewed our 2016 adventures, but 2017 is going to be an amazing year, I can already tell. We are getting married on New Years, so that’s a good start! Then off to St. Lucia for the honeymoon!

Our next adventure in February is to Sevilla with a trip to the Costa del Sol.  I’ve wanted to visit this city since high school Spanish class, and we found exceptionally cheap flights to Malaga, so off we go!

In March, we are off to the eternal city. Hotels are much cheaper in Rome in the off and shoulder seasons, so we’re able to stay really centrally for a reasonable price, perfect for a long weekend.

April is going to be an athletic month. I just found out I’ve gotten our club place to the London marathon! I’m so excited, the course looks amazing (though maybe not about the training…). We’re also doing a walking holiday through the Cotswolds.

In May, we’ll be heading to Nice, sampling some wine in Provence and day tripping to Monte Carlo.

To celebrate our 29th (yikes) birthdays, we’re off to Croatia and Slovenia for a week of island hopping and national park exploring.

We’ve also booked flights to Oktoberfest in Munich in September! This could be our last European adventure for a while ( if we go home at the end of September) so we figured we should go out with a bang!

What are you most excited about for 2017??

  5. Oh wow it sounds very exciting ! I have been to the Coswolds in September and it was great, I’m sure you will love it. The little villages are really charming.

2017 is going to be exciting. I have a very long trip planned to Iceland/Canada and that will be my only holiday because I will use nearly all my annual leave for it 🙂

  8. Congratulations on your marriage! I’m planning some time in Provence in September so look forward to reading your posts later this year. Have you decided where you are staying yet?

    1. We haven’t booked accommodations yet, there are too many choices to research, but it’s next on the list! Do you know where you’ll be staying?

      1. Not yet, we are still building our itinerary! Have you narrowed it down to any particular cities yet?

      2. Our plan right now is to stay in Nice and I’ve booked a day wine tour through Provence . The rail connections up and down the coast seem excellent so we’re planning to visit Monaco and a few other seaside towns that way.

  9. The wine tour sounds great! We’re looking into something similar. I’m also going back and fourth between renting a car and rail/buses to get around. A car would be great but I’m not sure we want to deal with parking. It will depend on our final itinerary!
